3 may 2009 - Redhill (UK) – Brighton Road. Today is the traditional London to Brighton rally of the Historic Commercial Vehicle Society and several interesting buses always take part and they pass the end of my street. Here is the wartime Guy Arab bus from London, with ‘utility’ bodywork made largely from wood and fabric, as steel was not obtainable. London Transport would not have bought Guy buses through choice, either, but had to take anything that was available.
