4 may 2008 - Redhill, Surrey, UK – Brighton Road. One of the entrants in this year’s London to Brighton historic commercial vehicle run was this impressive 1929 charabanc (a convertible bus). The canvas roof can be removed for sunny days – so this doesn’t happen very often in English weather. This type of vehicle was commonly used for trips to the seaside in the 1920’s and 1930s.
